The Process

To Begin

  • KB receives a Broker of Record Letter.
  • Insurance carriers are notified that KB is now managing the account.
  • KB assesses your situation, makes recommendations and develops strategies to help achieve goals.

KB will then

  • Review and audit all existing Plans.
  • Identify long range goals and objectives.
  • Develop and report findings and make recommendations for improvement.

Ongoing

  • Prior to Plan anniversary dates, discussions will be held to develop strategies.
  • KB negotiates renewal rates with existing carriers.
  • Should a change in carriers be contemplated, KB compiles bid specifications and obtains bids from alternate carriers.
  • Bid comparisons are developed and recommendations are made.
  • Carrier selection is neutral to KB, we are compensated without reference to selected carriers.
  • KB can objectively assist client decision making based on client needs.

 

Plan Implementation

KB will

  • Assist client with all communication to employees.
  • Serve as the interface with carriers.
  • Research technical issues that arise within the client organization.
  • Assist client with Subrogation issues.

Support

  • When claims problems arise, KB's experienced specialists will contact carriers.
    • Extensive knowledge of the processes enable us to confront many confusing issues  associated with claims.
  • KB monitors legislation and keeps clients abreast of potential changes allowing a proactive   decision making process.
  • Overall Plan management also includes Section 125 (flexible spending) options.
    • KB will oversee implementation of Section 125 options allowing employees the option of using pretax dollars to pay childcare, non-covered medical expenses and medical insurance premiums.
